Bastille Days!

This is an exciting festival, right in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Four glorious days and nights of food, fun, and entertainment! We’ve done this show before, and can’t wait to get back there! We’ll be shooting some video that night, as well, so make sure you brush your teeth beforehand.

We’re on the Kilbourn West Stage on Saturday, July 16th, from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.

Click here for deets on the whole show.

See you there!

NEW MUSIC COMING SOON!

As we head into summer, we are working on some killer new music that we just can’t wait to share with you! We’ll be heading into MusicMann Studios up in Milwaukee next week to get some recording done… How many songs? Which songs? Starting an album, or just recording ideas? We don’t know! But you’ll know as soon as we do–believe THAT!

Ch-ch-ch-changes…

Not only are we here to crush your rainy days; every now and then, we have a couple rainy days of our own to crush…

You have probably noticed that we have not been very active on the good ol’ social media lately. Which is unusual, because we like to keep in touch. We’re kind of like your rock-n-roll BFFs: what’s up? How’s it going? OMG, you’ll never guess what happened this week…

ANYHOO, you really will never guess what happened to us over the last several months. And since we don’t like to keep anyone guessing, here it goes:

Our lead singer, Betsy Ade, has left our happy group of wayward musicians to pursue other musical interests. While it was (and is) a devastating blow, we thank her for the time she spent with us, and wish her nothing but the best of luck.

Now, don’t go thinking that Rainy Day Crush will be breaking up. No, ma’am, and no sir! No way, no how! There are many more rainy days to crush! So our first step, obviously, has been to find someone to join us on our musical journey.

It took a while, and we jammed with some amazing folks. We have finally found a new member of the RDC family: ladies and gentlemen, please help us by giving the warmest of welcomes to Patricia O’Keefe. We could describe her to you, but our words pale in comparison to the lady herself… Say hi! She will say hi back, and won’t bite (too hard).

We are working on new music (as always), working on new gigs (first one is May 21st at McAuliffe’s Pub—not even one week away!!), and working on everything else that comes with being in a band. Are we excited? Do bears beat Battlestar Gallactica? We don’t know about bears. What we do know is that we’re having so much fun, we can’t see straight. We can’t wait to share our new music with you! We can’t wait for you to meet Patricia! We can’t wait to get back on stage and crush some rainy days, and we can’t do it without you! So stay tuned for more music, more fun, more shows, more pictures, more art, and more Rainy Day Crush. It’s been a while, but it will be worth the wait. We promise!

See you soon!

Matt, Derek, Money Mike, and (from now on) Patricia
